The Kane County Resource Development Committee assists the Commission to develop Natural and Economic Resource policy. They meet on a bi-monthly basis with representatives from Federal, State and local government agencies (U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Utah State Parks, Dept. of Natural Resources, City and County Offices, etc.) to apprise agencies on a variety of public lands issues such as: pertinent changes to public land-use regulations, ongoing environmental assessments or environmental impact statements, impacts from land-use decisions, vegetation treatments, noxious weed issues, water development, proposed road closures, prescribed fires, timber sales, minerals, oil and gas leases, revisions to Resource Management Plans and other news or issues pertaining to natural resources. The Resource Committee will meet on the opposite bi-monthly months at the Kane County Courthouse in Commission Chambers.

Agency group meetings will be held in the Search and Rescue Building at the Kanab Airport (unless otherwise posted), in the upstairs classroom from 9-10:30 a.m. on the following dates in 2019: Jan. 16, March 20, May 15, July 17, September 18, November 20.
The Resource Committee will meet in the Kane County Courthouse in Commission Chambers from 9-10:30 a.m. on the following dates in 2019: Feb. 20, April 17, June 19, August 21, October 16, December 18.
