Now Hiring Full Time Kanab Center Assistant and Event Support Position

Full Time w/ Benefits $33,196.80 Annual. May be required to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed. Must be 18 or older, high school graduate or equivalent. Must have an active Driver License. Works closely with the Kanab Center Coordinator to assist with all functions of events: calls, set up/take down, cleaning and maintenance of Kanab Center equipment and furnishings. Works both inside performing custodial duties and outside performing ground duties. Performs general grounds care, such as pulling weeds, and general clean up and performs general inside cleaning tasks such as vacuuming and mopping. Operates various cleaning equipment. Cleans disinfects and sanitizes rest room sinks and bowls. Maintains equipment and monitors supplies for restocking and reordering. Position requires periods of heavy lifting and moving heavy items. Must also be proficient in driving a truck and backing a trailer. Must have basic computer skills, able to maintain records and professionally communicate with all contacts for all tourism office events. Works closely with the Kanab Center Coordinator to create and complete project priorities as it relates to events and establish goals and deadlines and facilitates cooperative problem solving. Establishes and maintains working relationships with various community organizations and agencies; creates, plans, and implements continuous program for event planning and execution.  Some experience in the hospitality field not required but preferred. Now Hiring Part Time Care & Share Assistant - Kanab

$11.35 per hour. Part Time/No Benefits. Up to 29 hrs per week. Assists with the daily/weekly operations of the department. Assists with the distribution of commodities to qualified transient and sub-poverty populations within Kane County. Works under the supervision of the Senior Center Director or Assistant Director. Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must pass Criminal Background Check. Must have a valid Driver License. Must be CPR and First Aid Certified, or have the ability to get certified. Must possess a Utah State Food Handlers Permit or have the ability to obtain within three (3) months from date of hire. Must have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks related to lifting. Position will close when filled. Apply right away.

Now Hiring Part Time Senior Center Staff Assistants - Kanab

Part Time, up to 29 hours per week. $12.53 - $13.81 per hour - DOE. No Benefits. (1) position to be filled in Kanab Senior Center and (1) to be filled in the Orderville Senior Center Works under the supervision of the Senior Center Director and the Assistant Director. Assists in the daily operation of the Senior Center. Assists with cooking, driving (when necessary) and clerical duties to meet staffing demands. Assists to implement and monitor policy and procedure compliance for center operations and programs ensuring adherence to established schedules and policies. May assist to oversee special events and various functions of the Senior Center and coordinate the planning and the scheduling of the activities in conjunction with the Activities Director. Performs general office and clerical duties. Assists with the preparation of food for home delivery and congregate meals.

Must be 18 years of age or older; Must have a valid Driver License; Must have a high school graduation diploma or equivalent; Must have 2 years of experience with above related duties or an equivalent of education and experience. Must be able to pass a criminal background check including a clean driving record. Must possess a Utah State Food Handlers permit or have the ability to obtain within one (1) month from the date of hire. Must be CPR and First Aid Certified or have the ability to get certified. May be required to become “Serv Safe” Certified. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  May be required to assist at the Senior Center located in Orderville as needed.
