The Kane County Recorder is responsible for maintaining property records, instruments, indices, situs addresses and mailing addresses for all parcels within Kane County.
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the exception of observed holidays.
(No recording after 4:30 pm)
In accordance with Utah state statutes, tax & valuation notices on real property are mailed to the legal owner of record as of January 1st of each tax year. Changes of ownership subsequent to this date will not become effective on the ASSESSMENT records until the following year.
(As a courtesy the recorder's office will forward the new notices to new owners until the notices are mailed out)
If you do not receive a valuation notice or tax notice please contact the former owner or the Kane County Treasurer's office for information to avoid any late penalty &/or interest charges.
The address on the recorded deed is the source document for the address used in mailing the notices.
Please examine carefully the address shown on the recorded deed to see if the notice will be deliverable as addressed.
