It is the policy of Kane County that for any Officer Involved Critical Incident (as defined in Utah Code Section 76-2-408), that the Washington County Critical Incident Task Force will be requested to investigate the incident. If they declare a conflict with the specific incident, the task force for Iron, Garfield and Beaver Counties will be requested to investigate. For purposes of the investigation the protocols adopted by the relevant task force are adopted by Kane County to ensure a professional, thorough, and impartial investigation.
